Synopsis

"Celebrating Our Mistakes" (winner of the Storytelling World Honor Award) is a concert film featuring Shlomo Carlebach and Diane Wolkstein, two of America's beloved storytellers, who traded Hasidic stories of the Baal Shem Tov and the Seer of Lublin before an audience of 800 at the American Museum of Natural History in New York, just a month before Carlebach's untimely death. The energy of these two intense, passionate and very funny storytellers created such joy and love in the audience that people spontaneously called out L'Chayim!

The stories, songs and teachings in "Celebrating Our Mistakes" are meant to heal the soul. We can listen to them in preparation for the holidays of Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur as well as throughout the year, for we are all vulnerable, arrogant, forgetful, fearful, full of mistakes. Yet, what joy, when we are able to acknowledge our mistakes - to celebrate them - to enjoy them, to be grateful for them, for our mistakes are the source of our growth and compassion. L'Chayim - To Life!
