  Formed in 1997 by drummer Rick Walker and guitarist/keyboardist Kevin Jarvis, Farpoint's vision is to create melodic and powerful positive music that mixes the influence of rock, folk, Celtic, classical and more. Through four full length studio albums and ten years of live performances, Farpoint continue to walk their own path, creating their own unique blend of sometimes folky, sometimes symphonic, and sometimes hard-rocking music that comes from the heart.
  
  The fortuitous meeting between Farpoint and Frain took place in late 1999 and led to a lasting collaboration and friendship. In addition to Farpoint's music appearing in Light Speed Dreaming, Frain's artwork has graced all of Farpoint's releases and website.

  Although classically trained, Cyndee Lee Rule's main influence for the space violin is Gong guitarist, Steve Hillage. She has performed at the Gong Uncon at the prestigious Melkweg Club in Amsterdam, and has recorded and performed with electronic music giants Radio Massacre International. Cyndee has toured with some of the founding fathers of spacerock, including Hawkwind's Nik Turner and Harvey Bainbridge. She routinely records with musicians around the world through the internet. Some artists she works very closely with are ambient/electronic band Systems Theory, dark spacerock band Space Mirrors and retro-psychadelic band Mooch, among many others.

  Trying to categorize the style of Albuquerque-based Tanuki is as challenging as trying to...well...convey in words that they can't be categorized. And in that, they take great pride. Let's call 'em avant-surf-prog for the sake of discussion and keep rolling.
  The majority of “Lost Chapter” was written by Tanuki guitarist C. Ray Himes in late 2003. The melodic progression of arpeggios - inspired in equal parts by Beethoven and David Gilmour - was intended to convey the sense of simultaneous hope and loss following the interruption of one’s plans for life. Bassist Chris Frain added a complementary melody, combined with drummer Charles Byrnes’ alternating back beats and tribal rhythms. The song became a favorite among Tanuki fans and was often described as “a soundtrack without a movie,” which made it a perfect choice for a David Frain's animated project. The version appearing on this DVD was recorded at Sight 16 Studios in Albuquerque in 2005 for the album, “Warm Up the Deathray, Agnes.”

  Inspired in the 1970s by the visual works of Dali, Escher, and Roger Dean, the cinematic technical psych-space effects of "2001:...", "Altered States", and "Tron", and the synthetic music of Tangerine Dream and Klaus Schulze, the young Frain dreamed to combine music and animation in a free-form delivery of chaos and logic. Developing a two-dimensional sense of depth and motion rendered in static ink drawings in the 1990s, Frain began to transcribe his impressions and inspirations into a more dynamic three-dimensional medium. "Light Speed Dreaming," a passive project from 2001 to 2007, is the result of that first effort.
