Synopsis

This realistic portrayal of the day to day strategies that kept the Green Beret's alive during the Vietnam War showcases their mastery of deception and ingenuity to foil the best efforts of the Viet Cong. Steven is a seven-time award winning feature Director and Cinematographer. He is a gradute of the "Steven Kahler Film School of Hard Knocks" and has the scars to prove it.
He was written about in "Feature FIlmaking at Used Car Prices" by Rick Schmidt. In the book Rick detailed how he began making Vietnam War Movies when digital filmmaking was in it's infancy.
His second Vietnam War Movie "Woodstock and Paco" has been recently released to DVD and will be coming soon to Film Baby.
He is currently writing screenplays and working on his third Vietnam War Movie.

One of the festival's very best efforts was produced close to home. Gainesville filmmaker Steven Kahler's "Click" is an engaging drama about Green Beret's stationed in Cambodia during the Vietnam War. It's a quality production that convey's an authenticity well beyond the limitations of its budget. I know what you're thinking: "What part of Gainesville looks like the steamy jungles of South East Asia?" I'm not sure what the answer is but Director Steven Kahler does an exemplary job of setting the scene. Click works with a very small budget and wisely focuses on a personal drama...[Click] nail(s) the details. There are moments when you really do get the feeling of what it was like crawling through the bush, disarming booby traps. After watching this movie I now know how to search for enemy tripwires using only my trusty machete, which makes Click educational and entertaining."
